One of the most frequent questions we get is whether NovaWhite's whitening gel will have any effects on artificial structures. The disclaimer answer is a resounding no and we certainly don't guarantee it. That being said, we have clients who swear to the contrary and claim that NovaWhite does work on their crowns.
Placebo effect? We aren't sure but if you are considering getting a single crown or veneer, the standard procedure is to first whiten all the adjacent teeth, wait two weeks for the color to stabilize, and then go in to your dentist and have him match the crown to the new shade of your teeth. Sometimes when a crown was placed many years ago, the rest of the teeth have dulled while the crown is whiter. In this instance you may whiten till you have returned to the original shade of your teeth when you first had the crown placed. The same goes for composites, bridges, and veneers.
Best of luck in whitening and we hope to be your exclusive provider of whitening products!
